Northern Illinois DSA is a chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, the largest socialist organization in the United States with over 90,000 members. Our members are fighting for the principles of democratic socialism in Boone, DeKalb, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties. 

 

We believe that the economy and our political class should work for the people, not just select special interests. We show our commitment to this principle by being an organization of, by, and for the working class.

 

We're currently organizing around issues at both the community and regional levels, using electoral and direct-action strategies. If you share our values of building a world that focuses on the health of people over profits, uplifting labor, fighting discrimination in all its forms, and taking on systemic inequality of wealth and power, there is a place for you in Northern Illinois DSA.
